Chicory

Chicory has a similar flavor to coffee and is naturally decaffeinated, which is why it is often used in place of, or mixed with, regular coffee.  More full bodied and slightly sweeter than coffee, it is seen often in New Orleans.  Chicory is also known to have a few medicinal properties.

USES:

Use in your coffeemaker instead of regular coffee grounds.
